Last spring (possibly before Opal was born) I bought a Groupon to Dutch Village, thinking we'd go during Tulip Time, or maybe on some warm, summer day...or maybe in September the weekend before it expired. Anyway, we went last Saturday and had some Dutch fun with our guilders.

King Dave and Prince Rolland, genteel as always.

Opal thinks horses go faster if you threaten to eat them.

Huh?

Rolland never fails to deliver the mail.

Future Klompen-dancers.

Goliath was Dutch??

Hooray! What fun! It's time we flew!

We ran into some friends about half way through, so we forgot to take pics of the kids petting the goats, bunnies, and mini pig, and of Rolland falling and skinning his chin on the way to the carousal. And we didn't take pics of the fair-food lunch we had or the fudge we bought. Been there, done that.

It was a fun day for what we spent, which is less than half of regular price. I wouldn't recommend it at full price, unless you're an avid collector of Precious Moments figurines, German-made cuckoo clocks, enormous multicolored candles, or Delft anything, in which case the giftshop is all you need.
