This weekend we went to Traverse City to visit some friends and their 3 kids (who were shockingly older than we'd remembered...Why are we always shocked that kids grow up?). We enjoy these particular friends because we always have a wide variety of enthusiastic conversations with them. This weekend our topics included:
vegetarianism
spiritual gifts
natural childbirth
why 4th graders have homework
neon clothing
poverty
how to sell artwork
Zumba
Better yet, our conversations did NOT address such excessively boring topics as:
the stock market
heavy machinery
rap music
It's nice to have friends with common interests (and disinterests).
Thankfully, the fun outweighed the trauma of the car ride home. To be fair, most of it was fine, but about half way home, we had one of those half hours that makes you want to double up on birth control. Good Thing They're Cute!
